Artist Talk with Christoph Liedtke
Since April this year, the artist Christoph Liedtke has been commissioned to develop artistic works for the RFB as part of the Saxony-Anhalt Art Foundation’s Heimatstipendium #3.
As part of this collaboration, the RFB and the artist cordially invite you to an artist talk on 19 November 2026. During the event, Christoph Liedtke will present his artistic output to date through a selection of works and offer insights into his ways of thinking and perspectives.
Christoph Liedtke is a transdisciplinary artist from Halle and is regarded as one of the most versatile voices in the art scene of Central Germany. He is active both as a visual artist in the fields of painting, photography and sculpture, and as a poet and musician in a wide variety of projects.
His artistic practice wanders between disciplines, from which he draws fresh inspiration time and again. His art delves into the organic. Observations of details take shape as universal parables.
In his art, Liedtke works to bring forms closer together and transcend them. Writing, signs, gestures, images, objects and words draw closer to one another, enrich, complement and merge with one another, forming new forms – their own language.
His works are also inspired and shaped by Far Eastern aesthetics, as well as by poets whom he engages with in his works, quoting them and thereby establishing a connection with them.
Christoph Liedtke is the chair of Raum für Kunst Halle e. V. and a member of the Saxony-Anhalt Academy of Arts.
We look forward to welcoming you and to a lively exchange of ideas.
