To mark the 350th anniversary of his death, the spotlight is on Paul Gerhardt, arguably the most famous Protestant hymn writer alongside Martin Luther. His hymns continue to shape the repertoire of Protestant and Catholic hymnals to this day.

Frederick the Wise died 500 years ago – Luther dedicated a sermon to the deceased, and an elaborate ensemble of three different monuments was erected over the grave in the castle church, commemorating the sovereign.
