The Research Library for Reformation Studies is a partnership under civil law (GbR). The shareholders are:
The Union of Evangelical Churches in the EKD (UEK), represented by the Wittenberg Protestant Seminary for Preachers,
the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, represented by the University and State Library of Saxony-Anhalt.
The shareholders’ meeting is chaired by one of the shareholders based in Wittenberg (Seminary for Preachers, Luther Memorials, Leucorea) on an annual basis; in 2024, Chair was the Luther Memorials Foundation in Saxony-Anhalt, represented by the director and chairman of the board, Dr Thomas T. Müller.
